Target audience research - Blogging task 10

A target audience is a particular group at which a a product such as a film or advertisement is aimed.  Audiences are central for any media text for without an audience, there is no one to consume the finished product. One of the reasons why Teen Film is considered to be  both a successful genre and an interesting one to study is because of its relationship with its audience. 
Although Teen Film is intended to be watched by the ideal teenager of a particular time and place, this doesn't mean we can't find pleasure in watching a Teen Film from a different era than our own.
