Representation of different characters

The way thats the young boys are represented in our film GRIND is that they are oblivious and they don't know what they are doing. Our opening sequence aims to make it clear that our main character Mel does not take his football talent as serious as he should and would rather be peer pressured into illegal activity with his mates. The idea of football was used because it is the most common sport/activity that young males are associated with in todays society. This also represents Mels character as being weak and oblivious to the important factors in his life. I think that the use of Mel represents the day to day life style of most young boys that spend their time on the streets.

In the film GRIND we don't use any female characters because we would like to show it from a young boys persecutive himself and we ran out of time finding female characters since me and china did not want to take part in any acting.
